The student becomes able to understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. They can interact with a degree of spontaneity and fluency that makes communication with native speakers possible without strain for either party. They can express themselves clearly and in detail on a wide range of subjects, explain their viewpoint on a topical issue by presenting the advantages and disadvantages of various options, and write clear, connected texts such as articles, reports, and formal letters in an appropriate style. They master advanced B2 grammar such as reported speech (Konjunktiv I), the various forms of the passive, participial phrases, and advanced connectors.
Teaching Style
Interactive lessons that students join via audio (mandatory) and video (optional). A suitable number of students is kept in each group to ensure maximum interaction and benefit. The teacher joins via audio and video and uses a smart electronic board to explain grammar, solve exercises, and illustrate examples in an easy and direct way. Students also take part in speaking, reading, and listening activities, as well as interactive exercises that make learning enjoyable and effective.
Curriculum
The course is based on the latest edition of the Sicher! B2 series (Hueber), as a continuation of the Menschen series used in the earlier levels, one of the recognized curricula for teaching German to non-native speakers. It covers all core language skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — along with the grammar and vocabulary needed to refine language competence and move confidently toward the C1 level.
Course Content
The fourth level covers all core B2 topics through twelve units that build the student's skills gradually. Each unit contains advanced grammar rules, expanded vocabulary, reading and analysis texts, speaking and listening exercises, and writing activities that help the student use the language in everyday, professional, and academic situations.
